The Panda Garra is a charming and highly active small bottom-dwelling fish that has become increasingly popular among aquarists who appreciate unique appearance and useful tank-cleaning abilities. Named for its distinctive black and white markings that closely resemble a panda’s face, this fish brings both beauty and functionality to the aquarium.
Panda Garra are native to fast-flowing streams in Southeast Asia. They are excellent algae eaters and very active scavengers, constantly moving across the substrate and plant leaves in search of food. They are highly social and should be kept in groups of at least 5–7 individuals to exhibit their natural behavior. They prefer well-oxygenated water with moderate current and a fine sand substrate.
