The Pearl Gourami is widely regarded as one of the most peaceful and beautiful gourami species available. Its silvery body is covered in delicate pearl-like spots, while its fins display soft orange and red accents. As a labyrinth fish, it possesses a special organ that allows it to breathe atmospheric air, giving it a unique charm and making it highly adaptable to various tank conditions.
Pearl Gouramis are calm, slow-moving fish that prefer well-planted tanks with gentle water flow. They are excellent community tank inhabitants and rarely show aggression toward other peaceful species of similar size. Males may develop slightly longer dorsal fins and more intense coloration when ready to breed.
